We're building a small bench of talented writers (2-3 total) to support upcoming health insurance content projects for a major branding consultancy working with leaders in the space. The work will ramp up quickly, with projects ranging from conceptual campaign content to member communications.

This is an ideal opportunity for writers who can translate complex information into clear, human, and engaging stories, someone who can make healthcare feel approachable and even inspiring.

  • Start Date: Rolling - projects begin Dec-January ‘26
  • Commitment: Flexible; assignments vary by client demand
  • Location: Remote

What You'll Work On

You may contribute to projects such as:

  • Campaign-level content: turning conceptual ideas into creative, emotionally resonant campaigns.
  • Sales collateral: concise, benefit-driven or explanatory copy for health plan members, insurance brokers, healthcare providers, and employers
  • Explainer videos & presentations: clear and compelling scripts or decks that distill complex information.
  • Member engagement materials: consumer-facing content written at a 6th-grade reading level that's still smart, empathetic, and motivating or content

Deliverables may range from single-page summaries to full campaign systems. Some assignments may come with quick turnaround times (about a week out).

What We're Looking For

  • Experience writing for complex industries (healthcare, insurance, or other regulated fields preferred).
  • Strong conceptual thinker who can make unengaging material engaging.
  • Ability to tailor tone and voice for multiple audiences, including both B2B (brokers, employers, providers) and B2C (plan members).
  • Comfortable simplifying technical or policy-heavy language.
  • Sharp, snappy headline and tagline skills.
  • Reliable, responsive, and able to turn around quality work quickly.

Ideal Background

  • 5+ years of professional writing experience in healthcare, advertising, or journalism.
  • Experience collaborating with brand strategists, designers, and marketing teams.
  • Portfolio that shows creative versatility: from campaign concepts to web or member communications.
